Composer Akira Yamaoka and videogame industry charitable organisation playforJapan.org have announced the digital release of Play for Japan: The Album, a collection of all-new songs from some of the most celebrated composers working in videogames today. Conceived by Yamaoka in response to the tragic events of March 11th, 2011, when an earthquake and tsunami shook Japan and the world, the album’s proceeds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross.
